Thanks for the reply. I am just starting solo trips and still putting together a system. I have just used a #3 Duluth in the past for food and hung it in a tree when I have been out with my son.  As you know it can be a royal pain to find a halfway decent tree. So I am considering a bucket / barrel system. :)
