From my research, either making Delahey or Connmee a destination will deliver both. However, I would not expect to just show up and start landing big fish and/or large numbers of eater-size walleye without at least a decent approach and technique. I think your secret spots though are safe from me and perhaps many others for that reason!

Realistically, a Delahey destination would mean entering from the north via Nym, Staunton or French Lake and similarly a Connmee destination would mean coming at it from the south. I could see the advantages to a southern route because you could hit many of what Stu has referred to in his BWJ Grand Slam series as "murderers row" for walleye. Suzanette, western side of Brent, Burt, Joyce, etc. Delahey could also be argued as no slouch with Nan, Camel, Veron and Delahey. For a largely solo canoe-ist and fisherman, either of these would be hard to cover in a standard 7 to 10 day backcountry adventure.

So, the choice still looms and I have plenty to ponder over the coming months for next year such as how quickly I could reach each destination, 5 or 4 star campsite options, new routes and sidetrips to explore, wildlife sightings or a reconnoiter for a future bushwacker jamboree.....I'm just saying.

Now it's time to go watch the Vikes beat up on the Titans in preparation for next week's battle against "The 'Pack".  :D
