Good to know regarding the boots. I went with a different system of chota hip waders and 10 buck arkansas hikers (used). I have to say that I looked at those NRS boots but just couldn't part with the cash at the time. I was also a little reticent about the tread wearing out ( I go through boot treads pretty quickly). The midland weather radio is a good idea-- I have an offbrand weather radio that's about shirt pocket size and weighs a few ounces. What's the weight of the Midland? Just curious. Thanks again for the reviews and welcome to the board!
