Title: Re: Layover Lake Advice

Thanks for the input OS and Jimbo.  I had known about McDougal smallies and just re=read Tim Meads chapter in Quetico Adventures called "Return to McDougal".  I'm also planning on organizing all my BWJ's that go back to 1994 so will look for his article there.  The campsite info is very helpful. I hope to spend 2 possibly 3 nights there.

Stu mentioned Fred for smallies once and I heard Camel is a good walleye factory.  I am looking for trophies this trip and had planned on Veron but reconsidered because of having to double back into Camel on the route.  I need more time to do that lake properly.

So, I think I'll take your advice and try to make Sturgeon from McDougal and set up for three nights there.  Then I'll have 2 nights to make my way out to French Lk.

Yes, the lists have started.  Anticipation is on "simmer".  :)
