Well, shoot, MP. Now you're makin' me get up and go into my garage.....my Rapidfire has wood gunnels, the bottom of which seem to be horizontal to the ground...all I can confirm is the slotted yoke works well, unless you leave it an the put-in on your last portage about 20 miles of paddling to the south of your car... :-/ :'(
