Title: Fishing Information Post by mpeebles on Apr 22nd, 2018 at 11:07am
In 2017 I took a two week solo trip from Irvine to Royd with a side trip to Gammon. While I knew what fish spieces of fish were in the "named" lakes, such as Irvine/Royd/Gammon, etc., I didn't do my homework and find out what spieces of fish were in the "no name" lakes in between. While I ended up having excellent walleye fishing in the lakes I stayed on it would have been nice to know beforehand what types of fish were in the lakes.
This year two of us are going on a three week trip starting Aug. 21 on Moose lake and ending on either Lighting or Irvine, depending where the spirits so move us. Goals are to base camp two to four days, explore and walleye fish to our hearts content. So all that being said, here's what I'd like to do on this thread. I'll start by mentioning a lake, such as Moose Lake and then gather information from any of you out there with knowledge of what types of fish are in the lake and what you think the quality of fishing is, be it walleyes, northerns or lake trout. Because a lot of the lakes have no name, we'll take our proposed route and go lake to lake (side trip lakes as well), working off the the park map and/or topos. This process will take some time so if you're willing, let's grab some maps and get started. Thanks......Mike Moose Lake? |
