One of the reasons I like to paddle close to the shoreline because you get a chance to see a lot of animals.

  Problem is you rarely get time for a photo.
They see you and disappear leaving you with just a nice memory.

With those cameras getting smaller/cheaper, I might think about setting one up every day/night especially went I get down to base-camp type trips in my "old" age.  ;) ;D ;D

Would make for some good PODS.
