Honestly....I start talking about those June-September in, well, June-September. I'm not finished with one before starting to dream and scheme about the next. I'd bet a good bottle that more of this gang is like that than isn't. We've already got tentative dates for next summer's Scout trip to the Q and I'm eyeballing time for the personal trip.

I can't move Canoecopia dates but I can adjust my wilderness trip plans easily since at most just one other person. Decided last week to go north at end of this month. Don't know entry point, no longer plan the route more than a couple days ahead.

I agree with Portage Dog. Already planning next years trip and I just got back last week!
Two things.....I'm thinking that Canoecopia should be held twice a year (that would send shivers up Darren's spine)
AND....I'd be willing to help out with the QJ get togethers. I'll probably stay down there next year.

Ugh. Might have to miss this one. May well be out of the country at exactly that weekend. Hate to miss this therapeutic (and cathartic) experience!

Work is work but family is family. That w/e is slated for a trip to Australia and I "ain't gettin' outta that". Not that I would want to anyway. It's my penance anyway for having such a good time at Copia for the past 5 or so years. Who knows? Maybe plans will shift between now and then.

Agreed. It's the second time around for my wife and I. We'll be based in Melbourne== a melting pot a city. I doubt that we will be doing much canoeing though. I still wish I could make the Madison gaggle.

10 days and a wake up - but who's counting.

In additions to Rich's presentation at 'Copia, there is another one folks might want to consider, especially if you read the book "Border Country - The Northwoods Canoe Journals of Howard Greene". Howard's daughter and author of this book, Martha Phillips, will be in the Loon room on Friday at 4:30 PM and Voyager room Saturday at 11:30 AM to talk about his experiences. See page 46 of the 'Copia guide. It does not mention the book at all, but from the session description, it's clear this is about Howard's adventures.
