Speaking of doldrums.  I'm out in San Diego for a while dog sitting for the kids so I have some time on my hands.  On the plus side I'm getting in some nice hiking up and down the hills AND we managed to catch a lobster, my first ever!  Ahem....forgot to mention the weather.

I took Opasquia off of this years list as I have one or two folks going along who have never done this type of tripping and I thought it might be a bit much.  Still trying to decide between another trip into WCPP or head into Atikaki.  The WCPP trip would be Burntwood/Dutch R/Thicketwood/Sabourin R/Little Bigshell/Bigshell.  This year we went from Bigshell to Young.

I have no clue yet as to where I'd go in Atikaki but have contacted Blue Water Aviation in Bisset, MB and got some info from them.  Also in contact with Manitoba Parks for info.  I'll try to hook up with Martin sometime this winter and talk about Atikaki as well.  Hopefully will see ya'll at Copia and we'll be talking there as well.

Anyway, something to do till I get back home and head up to the land to do some hunting.  Somehow, I agreed to babysit for two days next week but I might have to subcontract that out.  Some folks like winter/fall/summer/spring.  I like the rut.
