If you have a favorite one, please recommend it.  I"m in the market for a new one.

For Q type tripping/fishing, I use this style.
Mine is an older version with just 2 large zip pockets.
It has held up well and I don't baby it either.

This version gives you even more storage options.
For warm weather that full mesh top can't be beaten.
The neoprene neck really does make it super comfortable.

I bought the NRS chinook fishing pfd last year and really like it. I use a seat back when fishing so the fact that the floatation padding on the back is up high I can lean back.

If I had the cash to spend on it, I'd choose one of these:

The NRS chinook mentioned above is one of those listed on this site but they all look like they have their merits.

That looks like the ticket. I really need pocket in the front of my PFD and more room to swing my arms for paddle strokes.

Do yourself a favor, check out that BassPro one I have for $50 in person and ask yourself does that NSR for $90 have more features YOU want to warrant the difference in price  :-/

I'm sure the money you'd save could buy some NICE fishing gear you don't have.  ;) ;D ;D

I'm going to second the NRS Chinook.  I've been using one for 6 or 7 years and love it.  I have no experience with the BPS one solotripper suggested, but if you can get your hands on both and compare I'd suggest that.

I like the BPS one because I tend to run hot while paddling solo. That full mesh top keeps me comfortable and if the day turns hot it is still comfortable to wear.

Both are good PFD's. Just need to decide what you looking for in a PFD you will be wearing all day paddling/fishing.
