I'm not sure if it's me, the fish, my confidence, or what but I always seem to do better (fishing-wise) in the tan/stained waters of the BWCA. (crooked, Malberg, LLC, etc etc) The gin clear water of Knife...Tuscarora...some of those I've not done quite as well.

Is it just my superstition? Bad luck? If we head to the Sarah/Robinson/McIntyre area are those more of a tea tint or super clear?

I think as a general statement walleyes will be harder to catch in clear water. But wind, light and cover all make a difference.

Don’t know if you’re coming to Copia in March, but if you do, we have gatherings on Friday and Saturday evenings. Bring your maps and we have lots of guys who can give you good intel. ;)

The lakes you mentioned are all clear water and are predominately laker and bass. McIntyre is probably the best for waldos of the three. I have found most of those lakes to have the best waldo bites early and late in the day. McIntyre has a good night bite. 8-)
