  If you were shooting a Drone with a shotgun using
the best combo of goose loads/gauge of a shotgun,
the effective range is going to be about 50 yds, give or take. So that drone was pretty close or else he couldn't have shot it down.

  You can pick-up a good single shot 12 gauge Turkey gun for about $150 or so. Very safe to keep UNLOADED at home or to bring as a camp gun for vehicle type camping. Zombies aside, you can't count on 911 responding in MINUTES, when your life is in SECONDS of being endangered. ;)
