One of the criteria that should matter is having enough N95 masks to restock the stores that used to have them. That would give John Q Public and you and me a chance to protect themselves against possible infections. I have a handful of leftovers from my last drywall project. I will need many more to be protected against viruses. I know that cloth masks are being promoted, but they offer no virus protection. I worked in Mayo Clinic hospitals for many years and had all the training and experience with PPE.

I think that the initial advice that N95 was ineffective was a calculated lie to buy time to get them to the hospitals. As someone who exceeds 65, and has most of the risk factors, I’m willing to wear a mask in public, but I want it to protect me from infections. Yes, there’s a right way to wear them. It could be shown in a short YouTube video and maybe it is.

Anyway, I hope that more focus can be given to N95 production so that we can hopefully dodge this disease and not burden the healthcare system.
