Thanks for the link MP.

These types of general population studies are necessary to come up with a coherent response. In the time being we're flying blind. In Minnesota we've recorded (from the most recent data) 121 deaths- no doubt tragic. On the other hand the median age of death is 84- which is a seriously mind-bogglingly aged data set. Hard to come up with any group (including "residents of assisted living") with a median age that old. Median age requiring hospitalization is a more sobering 64 (ICU hospitalizations a mere 65). Interestingly there was one individual aged 104 who has tested positive and is still ticking.

This new data "appears" to show that COVID-19 while much more infectious MIGHT not kill more people than the seasonal flu which has killed 80,000 people so far, mostly the same people COVID-19 has killed.

If your 84 and have serious health issues already, I think it's a little misleading to say Covid-19 was the cause of death. It would be more honest to say it contributed to it.

I also wonder about the idea that "healthy" young people have been killed by it? Is that a fact they were healthy or is it because they were young and apparently healthy?

You see that in athletes where they do autopsies after they drop dead. Turns out they all had serious health issues that were undetected. I wonder if they did autopsies on these young COVID-19 victims to see if they had health problems they were not aware of?
