I don't have any PMA experience, but can tell you that you'll need to get a special permit to camp in one. The portages are not maintained and you'll have to practice very strict LNT camping. Some PMAs see more travel than others, consequently would be easier going. Somebody has a website with some information. If I find the link, I'll post it for you.
