I bookmarked those nylon patches PJ. Good item to have in your patch kit.
I know from personal experience how tough this product is. I had some wrapped around a 1/2 wooden dowel to save packing space. After that sheer wind event tore my Dry-Fly I used it to patch the long tears. Short pieces like stitches to mate the tear then a long continuous piece to seal it. Lasted the rest of the trip. When I came home and went to peel it off before sending to IC for repair, I found it a real pain to pull off. In a round hole, I'd seal from both sides. If I used one of PJ's nylon patches, I seal from the inside to re-enforce the hold. (You need to Login or Register |
