Title: Hammock Hot Tarp

I ran across this item. Maybe not for canoe tripping unless you basecamp because you need a stove but who knows?

Maybe an early May or October thing IF I was basecamping, I suppose.  Lord knows I've hauled bulkier, more "experimental" crap along on mere whimsy in the past.

Heck, why not throw it in the pack?  I'm the guy who hauled a full canoe sail rig (pink) AND two seat-backer canoe seats clear across a 3 mile bushwhack into a remote WCPP lake (along with my normal outrageously heavy gear).  Just throw it in with the rest of junk & let's see what happens (other than another back or hip surgery).

Interesting, though....

IF you ever decided to leave the hammock world, this site offers very affordable Tipi HOT tents for solo to 4-6 people.

2 people with this tent as shown here which costs $250. The foldable titanium stove is about $450.
Split 2 ways that's not bad and the weight would be about what 2 separate tents would be.

They even have a version of our Dry-Fly with a Stove Jack so you can heat/cook in bad weather.

Some really innovative gear at a decent price.

I DO like the dry fly version.  Wish they had come out with something like this 20 years ago!

Can't see the point of the giant tent + stove + hammock. If you need a hot tent, take a hot tent. If you want to hang, hang. Both is a bit silly.  If things go bad with the hot tent hammock combo, line the interior of the hammock with kosher salt- next user of the site will find shelf-stable dry-aged ham.
