Sorry … the article about paddling icon was published on September 29, 2016. Regardless, probably the greatest canoeist they ever lived. He logged over 100,000 miles in his 41 years of paddling.

His blending the best of a tripping canoe and sea kayak is what enabled him to take those epic trips.

Several paddlers that I know who have paddled the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers have used Kruger Seawinds. An awesome boat … expensive and a bit heavy but oh so seaworthy.
A paddler I met in Greenville, MS has a tandem and solo Kruger Seawind |

For the type of tripping most of us do the weight would be prohibitive BUT for river trip with short portages and big water trips, that SeaWind is the standard of excellence. |
