The canoe looks fake.  Does that mean that Santa is also fake?  Plus, what time of year is this or how far south did Santa have to go to find soft water.  But I believe in Santa, so Merry Christmas to all.
As a footnote I have moved from Hermantown/Duluth to Ankey, IA, a suburb of Des Moines.

Elves must not make very good paddlers, I spy a trolling motor on the back of that canoe.  Merry Christmas to all!

Westwood, You now have a longer commute to Quetico that I do.  Congrats on the move and enjoy the somewhat milder winters in Iowa.

Santa's mode of transportation is a little different when he approaches my neck of the woods:   (You need to Login or Register

He doesn't let all the swamps deter him, neither:      (You need to Login or Register

Here's hoping Santa provides plenty of paddling toys to my friends on QJ, regardless of his logistics!

Happy Holidays to all QJ members and guests.  We can all open our presents on soft waters days.  All I want for Christmas is a guarantee that I will get to go to Quetico at least once in 2023.  Not too much to ask???

And Happy Festivus to all who celebrate!

I expect the airing of grievances and feats of strength will have been completed long before dinner this year. Damn it's cold and windy out 'round here.

A bit late, so I’ll wish all my fellow paddlers a happy new year. May we all have many happy hours on the water in 2023.
