(You need to Login or Register That's a good idea BUT I'd wager for the price of those DIY parts, you could buy the type of hoist I referenced for the same price. You get ONE point of lift PLUS that auto-brake. Another thing is that appears to be a 8 ft maybe 10 ft ceiling. With the straps loose all the way, he was barely able to grab the loose end. PK said he had 12 ft ceilings. Most of those cam straps are about 15 ft. Rigging it like this on a 12 ft ceiling I don't think the average cam strap is going to be long enough for you to reach the tag end.
