Another thing to consider if you DIY yourself is to install it on a 12 ft ceiling, your looking at using a 8 ft step ladder unless you have a scaffold to work off of.
How comfortable are your working off a step ladder like that? Might be worth it to get whatever set-up you like and have the contractor install for you. Right set-up it's piece of cake. Wrong set-up and :o :'( :'( |
