Hi, everyone. I'm a long-time member, but like a fair-weather friend, only visit when I have a trip coming up. I'm in the very early stages of planning a western-side trip in 2025. So glad that this forum continues to flourish.

My question:

I am a bidet convert and I have sort of a fancy one at my house. I got to thinking that a travel bidet might be a good idea for my trip--less paper waste and I truly do feel cleaner with one. But I have a question about one aspect of the idea--I get a little bothered by the idea of using untreated lake water in such a way (I'm female, so it may be even more of a concern for us women?) but I don't want to waste time and fuel boiling water just to be used for my butt. Anyone bring a bidet, anyone have thoughts about needing to treat the water first if you do bring one?
