paddling 18

I made a comment to Monjon on the main board about paddling, so I thought I start one over here about how I used paddling to improve my golf game.

I'm a hacker, and have played most of my life with the rest of the duffers happy to break 100.  This tip is only for duffers, because any respectable golfer already shoots this way.

The decent golfers talk about a shoulder turn, but it never sank in.  I always did a shoulder rock.  Then I thought about canoe paddling, and the power that comes from a good shoulder turn.  I've used that image to ingrain a good shoulder turn in my golf swing, and have knocked about 10 strokes a round off my game.

How's that for another place to paddle?

As another place to paddle, its fine.  But... Don't you find it ominous when you SINK a put!  Be careful if you apply golf to paddling!
