Did you find anyone to do the multi solo?
How is this going?

We have a total count of 4 at this point. There is one other guy who is interested, but can't commit yet.

Are you interested?

For those interested, my idea of a multi-solo trip this September is taking shape. Three of us have our permits. One other guy is in Quetico this week and I'm almost certain he will get his permit upon his return. We will be meeting up on Insula on the 16th. A trip in to Fungus PMA is being discussed.

I would be interested in seeing how this went.  I am considering a trip next May, I was going to go solo but thought it might be interesting to hook up with someone else for a few days in the middle of a trip if it worked.

We will find out real soon. Beavers and Butthead are already up there; are entering Lake 1 today. Beemer and I are driving up today. He should be on his way from Chicago, and I will be leaving within 2 hours.

We are meeting up on Insula. Saturday we are going to bushwhack through the Hope lakes to Maniwaki. After that, who knows.

We'll let you know how it goes.

Interesting note on the PMA situation. The rules state that only one party will be issued a permit per PMA section. We are all traveling on our own permits. Beavers talked the forest service into allowing us to group up in the PMA. We are not breaking the more than four canoe rule so I think the Service went along with it. All of our permits will be cross referenced to Beavers. We all had to call to make a reservation for the PMA.

Rookie's group-solo was a great success. (And Rookie actually showed up  Grin ) We all had a good time, explored lakes and learned a thing or two from each other. A trip report wil be filed eventually.

Thanks rookie!
The fun and challenge of another solo trip, yet the ability to share the the experience during trip, priceless!
Great trip, shared experience, knowledge gained, new friends
made.

Didn't one of you guys post a report of this trip a week or two back. I later went back to look for it, but it apparently had been deleted (moved?). I see there is now a similar looking report posted on QP's site, submitted by Beavers. Is this the same one? If yes, may I ask why it was taken off Quiet Journey? Maybe I'm just plain missing something here.

My concern is IF some offense is the cause for any member to pull a trip report, I'd like to know about it. I believe I can speak on behalf of other forum members as well.
