	Fishpig.. by the time this is all said and done... others will be plotting GPS coordinates for you... (if this goes as last time) with no guarantees... as to accuracy. A proceed at your own risk status with a disclaimer attached. A few of us have battle wounds from days in the woods, myself included.. though you could also call them stupid wounds. Still can't say if I'm attending this go... See you there... maybe. k

	I think the GPS is cheating Give me DRC (dead reconing & compass) any day If the 60 year old lady can make it, then the 60-ish guys should have no excuses. BTW...any other ladies out there who want to do the "great Stumpy Adventure" ?? IC

	I can tell you is you are leapfroging your gear it makes it a lot easier to find if you have a GPS marker to go back to. I can find a lake after a mile of bushwhacking but a pack after 100 yards may be another matter. MagicPaddler

	MP your point is well taken You are absolutely correct about finding a pack and I can see the advantage in the GPS for sure! Finding the canoe is a bit easier, especially when you leave it hanging up in the trees like you were able to do while Bushwacking in 2005.
