We are 97.3% sure it will be SOS this year: Soloers' OCTOBER Shindig. (The other members vetoed that acronym which may jinx the trip so we'll stick with SSS...but SOS is better than SOL ). Why October? As Butthead put it: "No bugs. No people. No permits." I'm just hoping: "No wind. No fire. No snow." At this point I will also say we are looking at locations probably more accessible from the Gunflint Trail. If you have not attended an SSS and are interested in doing so, please email or private message me. For various reasons we will not be making public disclosures of where and when the rendezvous is.

	Thanks for the response, but don't think I'll make plans if the trip is not until October. I've had my fill of cold, wet, windy weather for a while and although October can have beautiful days it is more likely they will be crisp instead. IC

	Dang it!! I knew I shouldn't have burned up that week of vacation in May! Will there be a SSS in 2008?? And while I appreciate IC's dislike of cold, wet windy weather, give me NO BUGS anytime! September or October both work. (Sorry IC!) CK
