Last year several of us here in the KY and IN area joined up for a weekend paddle on the Blue River in southern Indiana.  I'd like to take this time to invite everyone to come and join us.  Dates are set April 28th thru April 30th.  The 28th is a Friday and we will be meeting in Fredricksburg IN at or near 10 am.  Meeting place it at the Old Mill Canoe rental on HWY 150 See attached map.

This area is about a 2-hour drive south from Indianapolis IN.  Or 30 minutes from Louisville KY.  Those attending coming from the north should consider Interstate 65 to Interstate 265west, to Interstate 64 west, to US 150 west. 
Out of Louisville Ky take Interstate 64 west from Interstate 65 north downtown.

We will be paddling from Fredricksburg to Milltown but taking 2 days.  I have contacted the owner of some property along the Blue for camping for the 2 nights.  We would paddle about 6 or 7 miles on Friday to the campground, where our cars and truck will be parked.  From there on Saturday we will paddle to Milltown.  In Milltown my friend will pick us up for a shuttle back to the campground.  Canoes are available for rent and shuttle fees will apply for those non-renting canoeist. PLEASE if you are planning on renting a canoe or kayak contact me ASAP so I can reserve it.   My friend Dick mention that they have some new canoes this year as well as kayaks if there’s interest.  Everyone will be on their own for food. However I'll have a gas grill and Buckeye is bringing his Coleman stove for everyone to use.  Milltown offers a couple restaurants for those interested in eating out.
