I can't make it up to Canoecopia on Saturday (longstanding work commitment), but am planning to be there on Sunday. I know I'm a relative newbee to the board and an irregular poster at best, but am looking forward to my first Canoecopia. Any suggestions on must do's for the Sunday?

The banner did not make the event but we still had a great time.  I also got to see the Pink Flamingos in action, reeling in fellow QJ people.  Jimbo was wearing a shirt with the pinks on the front and he seemed to attract people.  QP thanks again for arranging the lunch, we had our own room, I guess that was better for the rest of the customers.  Grin
I had hoped to see the hat in action, I bet even more would have been attracted to that lure, but I think Jimbo's better half would not let the hat out of the house.

Anybody go to Cliff's seminar?

I tried to buy the Surefire flashlight he was talking about but couldn't find it on the floor anywhere.

Man, that guy can talk.

Gotta say probably the most crowded Copia ever. Combined with the beautiful weather, and Bike O Rama and Girls HS Bball tournament across the street it was one crowded place.

TB,
do you remember the name of the SURE-LIGHT that he mentioned??
I know the brand from the Brigade Quarter masters military supply catalog.
There high end flashlights with a battle tested reputation??
I see they have models that can be used to disoriented??
I seem to remember someone mentioning that as a possible bear deterrent??
I'm curious if that is the model or models he was talking about??

I believe he said "shurefire.com" and I am going to try that. We just got home at 6 PM and had newborn triplet lambs in the barn, and a set of twins born while we were gone that are looking sickly, plus I need to download the group picture so I can get it off to db for POD.

It was really neat to meet a bunch of you!  We enjoyed 'copia a lot!

Spartan 2,

You were an English teacher correct ??  How can Mr. E above hold a 3.3 GPA with grammar and spelling like that.  He can't count either, he met 3 others besides Jimbo that are going on this summer's trip

Andy, I'm sorry.  I just can't resist.  Temptation got the best of me but I'll console myself with the fact that someone else would have done it if I hadn't jumped in to do it first.  My mom was an English teacher so I will blame her for making me notice.

It's "grammar", not "grammer".  Cheesy

OK, I'm done.  Lips Sealed
