escaping the MN cold and heading off to se asia. leaving friday for a couple weeks of paddling and diving in a remote section of the philippines called palawan. the bacuit archipelago is one of three places in the world where the sea scape is dominated by limestone karsts towering above the ocean.  mornings filled with $30/ tank dives and afternoons spent in a kayak will be par for the course.

the only ice I will deal with for 13 days will be in the bottom of my glass!

cheers

Getting out of the cold sounds great at the moment.  It's 2 below here right now with the wind coming from the north. Don't have a clue how cold it is in Ely...it's cold enough right here.  Envy you the trip, Butcher.

IC was speaking of bringing back some pictures and I hope you do.  This reminded me that I have some pictures of you catching and not releaseing a few seasons back I believe on Sark Lake.  If you interested I would be glad to forward them your way.

Enjoy!

I would certainly like to see some pictures. I remember that day on Sark fondly; late May, 75 and sunny, you, IC, QP and bogwalker, the poison ivy portage and oh so many delicious lake trout. I hope everyone mentioned is doing well.

Butcher, by now you are in the Philippines and surely enjoying yourself.

I've never had the pleasure of paddling with Bogwalker.  Yes, it was IC, QP and Woods Walker.  You have a pretty good memory though.  I'd put Poison Ivy Portage out of my mind until you mentioned it.

I'll be glad to forward the pictures to you upon your return to do with them as you will.
