The Cabin by Hap Wilson is a sort of memoir about a well known paddler in the Temagami region. Hap was part of the group that blockaded access to the Old Growth forest in Temagami.

It is not quite an auto biography as it leaves out big portions of his life, but it does talk about his quest for solitude in various cabins leading up to his current cabin on the Lady Evelyn River.

Hap has a great writing style that keeps the reader interested.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I love Hap's guides, looking forward to reading an actual book by him.
