Hey Ranger Dad,
You crack me up. Nothing quite like a woman with a little spunk though. It took a while but I managed to "break" mine. You just have to dig those spurs in a little deeper. She talks to me on her hands and knees now! I can almost hear her......"get out from underneath that bed you coward and fight like a man"......... Cheesy

Yea, still working on that one.  I almost had the nerve last night but I hit my head on the bottom bed railing and woke up this morning.  I think the best place will be tomorrow night at the boys state hockey tourney.  There are a lot of witness' and I can play dumb with all the noiseand say I mis understood her nod as a yes and not a whatever.  Grin

Explain it to her this way.
Son and I are going to a very remote lake to meet some people we met on the internet.  So we will not be alone.

NICE!  Well does anyone have a set of kahunas I can borrow?  We tried the old "didn't we tell you" line coming home from the late OT hockey game Saturday night.  Needless to say I am currently in a holding pattern for now.  Gee, a guy works his entire life trying to find his place, only to find that my place is where ever I am told  Smiley

Maybe this Friday I'll know more... AND THE VERDICT IS....? Undecided

Don't ASK, tell her your going! Assuming your a good husband/provider and not depriving your loved ones by spending money on a trip that will make father and son memories for a lifetime, then you have every right to a GUILTLESS trip!
The first step to growing a pair is taking charge of the relationship dynamic. If you don't want too do it for yourself, then think of your son Grin  Being P-Whipped is no way for a man to go thru life Wink

Just remember to duck and weave while asserting your new found assertiveness. Who knows, she may find herself surprisingly delighted by your newly found " kahunas "   Cool

If you can't get past your wife how do you expect to get through a half mile of possible hell to stumpy's lake? She must be some woman.
