I would like to thank the quiet journey folks for the invitation to join them at a little get together in Madison after Canoecopia on Saturday night.  It was a great chance to chat and make connections for future information exchanges about Woodland Cariobou Park.
I am appreciative to be able to put faces to the names and to also learn about some mysterious fish !
WCPP looks forward to working with you.

Doug,

Our thanks to YOU & to Martin Kehoe for joining us at our meal time and sharing so much about Woodland Caribou Park!

Actually, we're a little unsure re: the native range of infamous "Pollyhumper".  There have been a few reports of them in Quetico.  One shows up on this page of this rather lengthy trip report from a few years back: (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) .  WCP, seeing far less pressure & traffic than Quetico surely holds mysteries & treasures surpassing even this rather exotic species.

Thanks, again, for joining us.  It was a most enjoyable evening!

Hey, thanks for joining us and filling us in. I had thought (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) worked for the Park.

FWIW - I couldn't find the PDF of than well done WCPP background information piece you made available so if you can post a link (probably in a new thread) please do.

For the benefit of those who didn't make it to Canoecopia and get to hear Mike Kinziger's excellent talk on his five week solo trip in WCPP (and even for those who did), here's his trip report:

Thanks for the hospitality. I had a great time and need to get into the habit of checking in more often.
