This book is an autobiography of sorts about working for the Hudson Bay Company in the 1930s. The author Edward Beauclerk Maurice joins the Company at 17 and experiences the Artic while growing up. It is an interesting look at the interactions of Edward and the Inuit people while he is in charge of a trading post alone.
