Does anyone have yoke recommendations?

I have a Wenonah MNII, Kevlar Ultralight   and I have the yoke that you can see in the link below.  I weighs 1 lb. 9 oz.   Does anyone have any recommendations for a better, lighter yoke?   Anybody use sling-style yokes, what do you think of them?

are you asking that about sling style yoke pads, or an actual sling style yoke instead of the wooden thwart/yoke?

I doubt your asking about a sling yoke, as you'd have to move the center thwart back out of the way to use one ( or maybe carry the boat reversed ?)

I have a sling yoke from Mohawk - 2" webbing across the shoulders,  and it works fine for my royalex Rendezvous for getting the boat to the putin or takeout.  I don't think I'd want to carry a heavy boat over a long portage with it.  There is also a bit of flex in the hull wit each step, as the weight of the boat "increases" with the downward momentum of each step - while a composite boat is stiffer, that tendency to flex might cause some cracking in the gel-coat or clear coat finish ?

I use the CVCA sling type yoke pads, mine are the extra thick ones & I love them.

Used those pads for one trip and returned them....picked up some "old style" pads from Sawbill a few years ago and am happier now.

Thank you all for your advice.  I went out and bought the yoke pads recommended by Snow_Dog and Woods_Walker.  I was fortunate that here in St. Paul, MN there is a shop that repairs canoes and builds custom canoes and they sell the CVCA yoke pads for the same price as the manufacturer.  The people at the shop were very nice and they let me try the yoke pads on my canoe and test them before buying them.  The sling pads are a lot nicer than the U-shaped yoke pad I have been using.  The U-shape has a tendency to tip so that the canoe is always trying to slide backwards off your shoulders, and, the back part of the U rests on your neck (pain in the neck).

What I noticed on my royalex solo boat is that it has a tendency to flex when I pick it up, have to be careful to not let the boat get any wider in the process... or the yoke may work itself loose.

The only thing I can think of is to add another thwart behind the seat or place longer thwarts closer to the seat. Or perhaps change how the yoke is mounted so that it also grabs the outside of the gunwhale?

Didn't notice the boat flexing length-wise (14'), but I wouldn't doubt it. The flex in the boat width is hard to miss.

its not really a problem, just thinking it might get to be one for a composite boat.  I don't do long carries with the webbing yoke.  I have a Wenonah seat mounted yoke I use with that boat  (the one for the bench seat) that works ok - but even with the seat mounted yoke, there is a bit of flex at the gunnels, maybe due to the way the metal seat hanger is mounted ? which is not as solidly anchored to the gunnels as a center thwart would be (i.e. the seat is attached to the flexible metal hangers, not directly to the gunnels) - and it squeaks - squeak, squeak, with every step as it flexes.  But I don't normally portage that boat, which is my river tripper.

I like the CVCA clamp-on yokes for their ability to adjust to different shoulders.  My petite wife likes the pads about 8" closer than I do, so adjustment is necessary.  Didn't know they make a thicker pad, but I will definitely get them.  My only compaint of the thin pad was that after a few years of use, I found the aluminum frame was diggin into my shoulders rather than the thin pad.  The thicker pad appears to solve the issue.

They don't sell the thin pads any more.
I had holes already drilled in my yoke for the U-shaped yoke pad, and I got lucky that the holes fit the CVCA yoke pad because the clamp-on version is a little heavier.
