I will be having some down time in a few weeks and will be staying in Gurnee Illinois right on the Wisconsin border. 4 rivers/creeks have my interest. The Kishwaukee, Nippersink, Sugar and the Des plaines. (Day trips centered around fishing).

Anybody "been there, done that?"   Smiley

Spent many, many days paddling & hunting portions of the Sugar River... very wild & untamed through most of the areas I have been on. Great river with lots of wildlife & good fishing.

Excellente' WW! In the fine book "Paddling Illinois" the Sugar is held in high regard. I was sort of leaning that way but you have pushed me over the edge. Thanks, now I'm a little excited.  Smiley
