I picked up the DeLorme PN60-Spot package at REI yesterday. It was too good of a deal to pass up at $370; the PN60 by itself goes for $400. Plus REI has a great return policy, so if I find I don't like it, then I can always exchange it.

I'll let you all know what I think once I get it out in the field.

Can you explain this?  I have a Garmin 60C and it is about 6-7 years old.  It still works fine. What can Garmin do that keeps it from continuing to be a useful tool?  I suppose for the maps I have, I may not be able to get updates for.  But roads do not change that much in 6 years and topography certainly does not.
