I really liked this book. This guy talks to you not at you with a little bit of humor as well. Very simplistic he leads you by the hand step by step. That's good for old dogs like me! The other thing I like is he puts it ALL together. That is, map, compass and GPS.

He covers:

*preparing topo maps

*adjusting compass for magnetic declination

*taking a bearing

*plotting your location

*recording bearings on a map

*Entering coordinates from a map into your GPS

*Taking coordinates from GPS and applying them to a map

A super, easy to understand book by Steve Featherstone.
