I picked up the "hippo Patch" for boat repairs figuring it might be a little better than duct tape. The stuff weighs as much as a hippo too.....UGH! It will go with the more or less non portaging Expedition boat now.

I picked up some "Tenacious Tape" as per Prouboys suggestion. Very lightweight and should be perfect for backcountry repairs. I was also impressed by a gear award from Backpacker magazine.
