Just finished reading Krueger's latest "Cork O'Conner" book.  Outstanding as always!  It came out way back in September, but I just found out about it.  He has another Cork book coming out in September of this year, and still another book outside the O'Conner series already written, due to be released in 2012.

Vermillion Drift made the NY Times Best Sellers

Not more than a minute after I made the above post, I received an e-mail notice from our local public library:  "Your request for 'Vermillion Drift' by Wm Kent Krueger is ready for pick-up...."   I made that request last fall when the book came out!  VERY weird!

I run through periods of time when I am simply a magnet for bizarre stuff happening.  Looks like here I go again.

Anyhow, I really look forward to reading this book.

While I have read most of the series in sequence, I would say the books would read well on a stand-alone basis.  My mother read one that would right in the middle of the series & seemed to really enjoy it.
