Gear aid water repellant (Read 3818 times)

	Well I finally got around to trying out the water proofing treatment that ST suggested on my gore tex. My gore tex had become tired.........even though I baby it and wouldn't dream of subjecting it to rough treatment it still didn't really bead water anymore. To be honest, I hadn't really noticed until we started talking about it on the forum. I followed the instructions to the letter including using the cleaner before the application of the repellant. I am so impressed! Water doesn't even hit my raingear before it beads and bounces off . Excellent! I purchased at campmor as per ST's suggestion. Your GT whatever could revert to it's previous stage after a while but my best guess would be sweat is what will get you the wettest.

On one hand is a little red sports car and a blonde and on the other I can go canoeing and swat skeets. Since my wife would kill me if I took choice #1 it looks to be the deet route. My rain gear will stay just the way it was when I took it out of the dryer. In fact I probably won't even have to use it. In any event this is the first time I have used anything like this and it looks to work swell.
