I am moving, and can't keep this canoe, so it's for sale. I bought it from Spring Creek back in 2008 as a factory second, I think I paid around $600. She's only been to the BWCA once, and has spent the rest of her days on various rivers and secret fishing holes in North Dakota.

It's been sitting in a pole barn at my dad's house for about two years now. I will wash, fine-sand, and 303 the hull before I let it go. There is also a small gouge on the bottom of the hull roughly in the middle of the boat, which I will patch with marine epoxy as well. It's not a big gouge, and hasn't been a high-priority fix, but it will get taken care of before the sale. Minnesota registration expired in 2010.

For a smaller guy like me, the Sandpiper has been a fine canoe. I've had her loaded up with gear for tripping, and she has managed the notorious chop on Devil's Lake and some Class II rapids without breaking a sweat. She's a fast, fun little canoe and I hate to let it go, but I can only take one canoe when I move, and the Argosy has won out.

I don't know how to value a used canoe, so make an offer. I'm not looking to make a buck on this, I just need it gone by the end of the month.

I also have a 1955 Johnson 5.5 with all the parts for a rebuild except for the starter rope, cylinder head gasket, and powerhead gasket. NAPA carries the cylinder head gasket but won't ship it, and any marine dealer should be able to get the powerhead gasket. My old shop in Grand Forks had several laying around when I swapped the impeller a few years ago. the starter ropes are basically universal.

The motor ran fine last summer, but last fall I ran some bad gas through it and broke off the starter rope. Haven't had time to fix it. The rebuild kit isn't necessary really, but just something I wanted to do while I was rooting around in there anyways. Should be an easy project. I also have a motor-side two-prong fuel line connector, as I was planning on rigging up a fuel pump and ditching the pressurized tank. There's several websites which detail this process, and it looks to be pretty simple if you are already going to have the thing torn open.

If you're interested in either, shoot me a PM. Everything is located in Rosemount, and I will be back in town in a week or two.
