Here is a product that you might want to throw into your kit, especially if you are traveling with younger paddlers:

While this site mostly presents the "Quest" series, which is more game oriented, there are other bandanas that might be of some interest:

This site has a broader range of print designs (e.g., basic first aid, wild animal & tracks, basic knot tying, clouds & weather, etc.)   The "night sky" one not only has major constellations, it also glows in the dark.  You might notice that many in of the photo's of me in the bush I'm wearing a bandana around my neck ... my choice is those that are the Buzz Off/Insect Shield variety ... no bug bites on my neck on portages!

They are most of the bandanas not particularly well made, but then then are not particularly expensive either and might serve as a diversion on a slow day in camp.  If not, you can always use another bandana (e.g., wash cloth, pot grabber, etc.)!

Thanks for sharing.  I imajine they would add a little extra fun for the little ones.  We used to draw checkerboards on packs with a permanent marker and play rocks vs. pinecones checkers.  I've seen a few people bring a set of chess pieces as well.

My son just turned 1, so it will be a little bit before these are needed.  Smiley

Awesome!  Not just for the kids.  I'd play those games.

Quite expensive though for the printing job I'm guessing reasonable.  I pay less than $3 for one of similar size & good quality cotton.
