Wolf Lake is part of the Chiniguchi area SW of Lady Evelyn Smoothwater.
Folks worked long and hard on getting Forest Reserve status for the Wolf Lake area.
Like many pockets of Temagami it has special signifigance. The largest old-growth red pine forest in the world.
As usual the MNR is happy to protect any area until someone with a company wants to extract resources.
Well, someone with a company wants to see if the area is worth mining.

You may never get there. I may never get there. If the Ministry makes this area not worth going to then the people who do go there will go somewhere else, maybe where you like to go and enjoy a little privacy.

Every inch they take just serves to crowd the rest of us.
