Having just bought canoelover's Ariel, I need to make room in the boathouse. The boat I haven't used in three years gets the boot. It's a 1994 Wenonah Prism, 16'6", Kevlar 49 with red gelcoat and brand-new black skid plates. The red is a bit faded but the finish is not brittle. I've had the boat since 2000 and it's been in covered storage nearly all that time.
This boat has a center rib instead of the foam diamond usually used in Wenonah's composite boats. I replaced the tractor seat with an adjustable cane seat, and the forward thwart with a unique arched thwart. You can see these modifications at
(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)under "Boats and Gear." I have the old thwart, which can be reinstalled, as well as the footbrace.
The boat comes with a Spring Creek Outfitters rowing rig and a clamp-on portage yoke (sorry, no pads).
All this for the ridiculously reasonable price of $850.
