Westwood,

Doc says my vision is good. So I'm not a blind date, just a cheap one. Dinner count is two. Anyone else? OK to come at last minute as we don't have enough to make a reservation. If you let me know, we'll know how many to request a table for. Cool

To Westwood and anyone else who may have gone to Baldy's, please accept my apology for not being there. Next year we'll have to find a better place to do a Saturday dinner.

Hi all,

It probably feels a little early to bring this up, but want to invite all my QJ friends to attend. If it works out, we could probably make lunch/dinner plans, depending on schedule, which will be announced about October 15.

Old Salt will be presenting two programs at the Fall Expo, November 21-23. Both are about travel to Alaska. 'Alaska on the Cheap' has lots of money saving tips for traveling to and around Alaska. 'Alaska's Kenai Peninsula Salmon Fishing' will prepare you to enjoy some of the greatest fishing on the planet. Mark your calendars and plan now to be in Minneapolis this November. Perhaps I'll see you next year in Alaska. If Alaska is not on your bucket list, it should be. Cool

OS has that wild eyed look of someone who's lost in the moment. Grin

Either that or he's been dabbling in some of that Alaskan Bud they talk about. Wink   Lips Sealed

Alaska has some very liberal limits when the salmon are running. On that day I caught three stringers of reds that size. All were legal and delicious. We estimated about 175 lbs of reds. Cool

Here's the scoop!

I will be presenting both programs on Saturday, November 22 at Hanson Hall, Room #107.

'Alaska Kenai Peninsula Salmon Fishing will be at 10:30am.

'Alaska on the Cheap' will be at 4:45pm.

I'm looking forward to seeing many QJ friends and hecklers. Cool PM me and perhaps we can do coffee or lunch. I will be wearing my 'Alaska' cap. Alaska should be on your bucket list.
