I'll be heading into the Canadian part of Basswood Lake for 10 days, starting the 4th.  We will be four ladies in four kayaks.  If you should pass by say "Hi" and stop for a visit.  It's always good to see more QJ'ers.  Will be leaving on the 14th.

We are going through PP on the 4th also, early tow to Washington Is. then up through Ranger Bay on our way to Brent. Also exiting on the 14th probably via Mudro. Will keep an eye out, shouldn't be hard to spot you!

IC and PAJeff,

Heading out this Saturday for Ely.  A buddy and I are entering Q via PP on the 31st headed to the Conmee, Williams, Darky, Argo, Brent area via McIntyre from North Bay/Sarah.  We'll head back out on the 8th via main Basswood coming from the falls.  Two middle age guys fishing out of a Williams & Hall rental, probably a MNII or SpiritII, but might grab a Bell if they have one!  I'll have a red PFD and an OR 'tilley' type hat in the stern.  Are you ladies base camping?  We'll try to spot you and say hello.  PAJeff, we'll watch for you on our way out - how best to spot you?

Plan to paddle the whole shoreline of Basswood on the Canadian side, will probably move camp every other day or so.  Our tarps are rasberry pink and royal blue and 4 tents, 4 kayaks.

I can't wait to hear about your trip. I've thought about route. Have done parts. The section from north bay around the point to Hayley is pretty interesting and different from most parts of the Q I've seen.

pd, 2 guys in a kevlar Spirit2 with my new QJ decals. We plan on fishing eastern and western Brent, William, Conmee. If available we hope to get the elevated site near the Conmee outlet on the 5th. Haven't decided on our exit yet, either Mudro or back to PP. If you need a site recommendation on Argo I know of a beauty.
IC, like I said, you shouldn't be hard to spot!

Just wrapped up the packing - off to the airport early tomorrow.  The ladies will be easy to spot.  We'll have one REI tent green/tan and a dark green tarp.  PAJeff, appreciate site recommendation on Argo, will likely camp there one night.  We got the one in the northwest corner last year.  Small and high off the water, but nice wading beach-ish.  Will watch for the QJ decal on your bow.  Fair winds and following seas to all - hope to catch you in the park.

Yes, two Poke Boats and two kayaks.  Dan offered me a Pungo to try, says they are the next best thing to a Poke Boat and might actually hold as much gear.  But I can't give up the faithful Poke Boat after traveling so many hundreds of miles in it.   Cheesy
