Both the movie and the book;
Movie 1st,
OK, movies are never as good as the books. It gets the jest of it though.

Book,
Kind of depressing. She really makes a mess of things and takes the hard way, both in her life and her hike. Her hike was in the mid 90's just before the internet made shared experiences like QJ easily available. So she's learning the hard way on the trail. Ouch.

Sum-total, Not a bad read or movie.

yup Jim I sort of feel the same way......she did make a mess of things but I found the book an awesome page turner which I couldn't put down.

Only one part sounded suspicious to me and that was the part where the stereotypical redneck hunters verge on raping her. Frankly I dismissed that as so much BS added for dramatic effect. Don't know any bowhunters who go into the woods like the guys she describes (totally inept and need to be rescued).
