We will encourage QJERS to book rooms at the Country Inn & Suites, 400 Riverplace, Menona, WI; March 10-12, 2017. Cool If you visit Canoecopia.com, you can get the discount rate of $115 per night. This is a good deal, and you get free breakfast, free wifi, etc. Cool I have already booked there. If you book there, please post here. Cool Their number is (608) 221-0055.

We will plan to do pizzas for whomever can be there Friday evening. Details later.

If we stay at same place, we can also socialize over breakfast bar Saturday and Sunday mornings. This provides at least 3-4 opportunities to connect with fellow QJERS.

Saturday dinner plans will be announced next year. We hope you will plan to make tracks to Madtown, March 10-12, for our annual rendezvous. Cool

We got the $115 rate.
I got a person who spoke with a heavy accent I could not understand her and she could not understand me.  I should have just hung up and called back to get someone else.

Hopefully we are not booked into the Calcutta Country Inn & Suites....

Hmmm... maybe we got discounted tickets there for the cricket convention?

I'll probably go just for Sunday.  Will make the presentation if you do it on that day.  My goal is to see the canoes.  I need motivation to plop down big money.  I need to feel the lightness and see the beauty of a new Magic.

and part of the incentive for her to go is to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Middleton.  (great pool.)

Yep, I live in Middleton and we often meet family and friends staying there for a swim. It's great. Safe travels and enjoy your visit!

My first Copia was '81 and I haven't missed one in the past 10 years or so. Also a big fan of Bike O' Rama. Good weekend in Madison!

We have been taking our granddaughter to northern Minnesota on vacation ever since she was five years old (she is from the Chicago area and she is thirteen now.)  The traditional "first stop" overnight has been at the HGI in Middleton where we relax and unwind and start to anticipate our good times.  We swim, have dinner at the steak house across the street, swim some more.  Get up in the morning and swim again.  Then head for the cities to visit with our friends there.  Anna is big into tradition.   Smiley  Because we missed our trip this past year due to Spartan1's illness, she is especially looking forward to the chance for Canoecopia this year--also, she is a HUGE Jerry Vandiver fan, and she will be excited to be at as many of his concerts there as we can manage to make.  We enjoy the "Paddle Songs" so much.
