I thought I would post these informative links to how you can tie your shoes/boots to STOP heel slippage and accommodate different width feet and type of foot you have.

   Some will already know this, some NEVER have foot problems related to shoe fit, but I think most of us at one time or the other have. It's for THOSE people that this is aimed at.

   One technique that I think most everyone can benefit from is the LACE LOCK.
It will keep your heel in the foot cup and STOPS your foot from slipping forward and jamming your toes in the front of the shoe and giving you JIMBO TOE.

  Everyone's feet SWELL as the day goes on. Most somewhere between 1/2” and 1” and that is with thin socks on. Heavy socks/neoprene socks you need at least 1 size BIGGER and maybe a WIDE shoe width as well.

  People will try and compensate for the necessary longer shoe which can lead to heel slippage by lacing their shoes very snug when the first put them on. Well, that means as your foot swells, your circulation gets cut off AND often your foot is STILL slipping. A double whammy, PLUS as your foot slides off the heel cup, YOUR foot arch becomes misaligned with shoe arch and the downward force can cause major pain issues at the end of the day.

  I lace ALL my footwear except dress shoes with that Lace Lock and use those CORD LOCKS as well. No more untying laces, foot slipping. If you GO to the CORD Locks you want to snug them up and cut the laces so they don't hit the ground but are long enough when you release the cord lock you have enough slack to get the shoe on easily.

  Rule of Thumb is the end of cut-off lace should be about where the laces START.
Make sure before you cut them off that this is short enough the lace WON'T get stepped on.
Also make sure you tie an overhand knot at the very end AFTER the lace lock is on and melt the end with a lighter. This was you can accidentally pull the lace thru the lock and then have to re-do the end.
I learned THAT the hard way.
