I had to stake a tree to keep it growing into the soffit of my house. Instead of the wire guylines, I used this stuff. Impressive material.

You can get it on Ebay for $21 including shipping and taxes!

I had some left and after using it, I decided it would make great DIY hammocks straps. Made to take a load and easy to tie into carabiner loops.

After my FUBAR hammock fall, I don't ever want that to happen again.  Cry Cry

I made these with just a double overhand loop on the end and singles for the carabiner loops.

Lookin' good!  When I was hanging my hammock this past September in the Q I inevitably thought of you and double checked my half hitch by the buckle to prevent me from slipping to the ground.
